Yesterday, I saw the video that GrimPig posted.
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=104143919624253&ref=mfI left my mouth opened wide in awe! The girls were awesome! Indeed, the magic of make up is almost unbelievable. One of the girls had really ‘widen’ her eyes with the eyeliner, fake lashes, mascara, eye shadow and I don’t know if there were any other tools she used but it was indeed impressive!
Seriously, I was super impressed! I then turned to Grimpig and asked if he remember one of the Guess3 episodes where one pretty girl mentioned that her boyfriend couldn't recognize her after she removed her make up. To make it worst, the boyfriend didn't even believe that the girl with the entire make up removed was his girlfriend until she put the make up back to her face! Then, I thought she was exaggerating but this video has proven that there’s indeed such vast difference between the before and after. Woot! Well done, babes! Not everyone has the patience, ability and talent to beautify oneself this well.
One of the girls in the video had her boyfriend standing by her while she did her make up and I agree with the host that the guy is a good man since he didn't even mind her ‘original’ look without make up. He also mentioned that he like her because they click well and I believe so looking at how cheeky the girl was when she posed a few cute expressions. Lolx. Must be a fun loving babe! I also like the fact that the 2 girls didn’t mind showing their pale and ‘original’ look before the international TV program! *Thumbs up* Admire their courage!
I used to think that being natural is the best, as in without make up AT ALL. Any girl with make up is just being a plastic (fake), but I realized how wrong and mistaken my stereotyping was! A face full of Cosmetic Make-up isn’t fake or deceiving, but enhancing the person’s feature and bringing out all of the potential. Just like why people bother to put on a foundation or a concealer! All for the sake of looking better because when one looks good, that’s where confidence comes from and with confidence; one will definitely look more attractive! Being attractive doesn’t depend on just a pretty face, but having the charisma and character too! xD
All along, the furthest I have gone to was putting on only make-up base and liquid foundation until I had a break up with my first boyfriend. I dug out a brand new stick of mascara that I have bought for ages but never used it before. I tried putting it on because I’ve cried my heart out the night before and my eyes was swollen like how the goldfish eyes is popped out.
I mimicked the way my mummy ‘kiap’ her lashes and then brush the mascara upwards like how she did it. I wasn’t really walking with my head held high in school with the coated mascara lashes for the first time until my lovely darlings commented that I actually looked good with ‘kiap-ed’ and coated lashes. Then, I started exploring the different brands and techniques of brushing the lashes. Currently, my favourite brand is Lancome’s Hynose (Waterproof) and combing it upwards in a zig-zag manner is how I like my lashes to be. Thank god and mummy for blessing me with long lashes. =P
Now, not only do I put on mascara every time I was invited to an occasion, I draw my brows and never fail to put on eyeliner when I go out. This picture is what my colleagues said, my weapons. Haha. Quote CK when we were nua-ing in hotel room (and I was touching up) after reaching Genting: “ehh.. 你有几只抢huh?”.
By Benefit: Benetint, Ooh la lift, that gal, erase paste (didnt know that my colleagues are fans of Benefit too and i am so happy that we're gonna get periodically supplies of Benefit products now!)
By Kanebo: Coffret Dor 2-way foundation cake, Kate Eyeliner (sad, our coy no longer carries Kanebo products, Kao's carrying them now)
By Lancome: the best mascara I've used! Hynose Waterproof! Curls stay and lashes super volumised!
By Sasa: Don't know what brand of liquid eye liner but I’ve no preference as all kinds of brand works fine for me so far) & lip gloss (i've over 10 of them but none of them lasted being used more than 10 times. I love licking them off my lips and then I am lazy to re-gloss after that. haha!
