I have been reading through some arguments, discussions, debates and quotes from forums. Majority of it are enlightening and I couldn’t agree more to what the author wrote (typed).
We all (human beings) have got different levels of endurance and tolerance. Some people’s anger erupted quickly and faded fast, but others kept the anger in them for a long time. I was thinking to myself, sometimes it is only a trivial matter, but why was I so agitated and rebuked harshly and some drivers kept spitting vulgarities behind the steering wheels while driving.
I understand that there are indeed a handful of idiotic and inconsiderate drivers on the road, but is there a need to be impatient and curse them or their family?
Why cant we reflect upon ourselves by being more open minded instead of putting blames on the others; they should do this this this and not that that that. Everyone has their own way of handling problems, own method of driving and own perspective of views; these are the differences that make every individual being different, no? If you are unhappy with the way he/she handles the problem, then move away from this person and settle it yourself? If you are pissed off with this driver going at a slow speed and hogging lane 1, why not just filter left and overtake instead of cursing and swearing? If you’re unhappy with the game developer, then stop playing it? If you’re unhappy with your boss, just work around him to get the job done?
It is not that easy to accept the fact, forgive the mistakes and forget the unhappiness. I don’t understand why so many people just love to grumble and complain then leave the matter(s) to remain stagnant and then coming back to complain it again 2/3 hrs, days or even weeks later?
I truly believe and agree that faking Deaf and Ignorance to things/comments/remarks/articles that are unpleasant to our eyes or ears will make our lives happier and easier. No point debating or arguing for the sake of winning. I like to argue with people and being involved in a debate because while I was exchanging my thoughts, because I learn and gain knowledge with more insights on certain matters. Just like one forum-er shared, we need to apply the Art of being Deaf when we encounter people who love to comment insensitively and abruptly. No point getting angry over it tio boh? It is an art because you need to understand when to apply this Deaf-ness skill and when not to. You can’t possibly be deaf and mute when your boss is having a discussion with you. Keke.
So, my New Year resolution this year is:
Exercise regularly to stay fit and healthy.
Save a fix amount of $ monthly for trips and raining days.
Most impt one: Be reminded and to achieve my New Year resolution.
I believe many people drafted their resolution at the beginning of each year and then forgot about it after 2 or 2 months. LOL.
